At the time I wrote this song I was working with someone who continuously down played my ideas. The song was a way for me to express myself, after the fact, without creating a confrontational environment at that time. The vocal take you hear on the recording is the scratch vocal from the original demo. I had written the song a few weeks before we recorded
the demo & because the song was so new, I was able to sing & capture the emotion I was feeling at that time, so we stuck with the original vocal take. It isn’t easy to recapture
emotion.
